1968 Chevrolet Corvette L-88 Stingray Roadster

Intro

I really like the looks of the late '60s Corvettes (not to mention earlier ones), and was very excited to find this kit one day. I decided to build this one in complete stock trim, since the L-88 was a very special car, and I didn't really want to hack it all up with flashy decals and modifications.

First Thoughts

Kit Quality

I really enjoyed building this car, and the kit quality had a lot to do with that. It's not overly detailed (what do you expect for ten bucks?), but it's got enough detail in the right places to really look great. I would not mind building another copy of this one and detailing it up.

Another side/top view.

I particularly liked how the wheels turned out after a quick black wash. I liked these ones insead of the aftermaket ones.

Rear view.

Side/top shot.

Side/front with the hood up. No modifications were done to the engine. It was 99% box-stock.
