Intro

First Thoughts

Since this was one of my first full glue street car kits, I didn't know what to expect. I thought the absence of a complex roll cage would make it easier to fit together. I had the right idea, but it wasn't quite as easy as I'd thought.

Kit Quality

Typical AMT quality. Nice detail, but really bad flash on this kit. This made parts fit bad since I wasn't accustomed to trimming flash yet, so some still ended up on key fit points. The decals layed down very smoothly and look painted on underneath the coat of Future.

The Build

Final Comments

With this kit, I learned not to attempt any more AMT kits until I had more experience. The higher number of small detail parts and amount of flash really made this kit look like it was meant for pretty experienced modelers. I got lucky enough to still wind up with a nice looking kit of one of my favorite muscle cars.
